When asked about our process of constructing a residential dock the best description is: it's an event. Our projects have been known to bring the family and neighbors alike out to the beach to watch, take photographs and admire our amazing coordination and equipment. We take pride in admitting our favorite part about these projects are the smiles and awe our audience experience during the construction phase.

We also pride ourselves on the ability to ease the customer through the waterfront construction process. We know it can be stressful, so we are eager and prepared to assist you through the permit process, planning, designing and finally get you the dock for your home that you are able to use for many years to come.

At Thompson Pile Driving, we truly aim to deliver to our clients the absolute best product for their hard earned dollars. We understand you are on a budget and need your residential dock to last as long as it feasibly can. With this in mind we are dedicated to staying structurally superior to our competitors. For instance, one of the many processes we use that assists in our superior product is that we use 12 inch x 20.7 pound heavy duty galvanized channel iron as the pile cap. The channel iron is bolted to the pile, and welded all the way around which makes for an extremely rigid and sturdy dock by tying the two piles together. This eliminates the need for cross bracing as has been used in the past. The problem with the old process is when the cross bracing is attached to the steel piles below the water, the holes placed in the pile interrupts the integrity of the galvenizing and thereby shortens the life of the pile by allowing the bare steel to rust.

In addition to structural longevity, our process is very environmentally friendly. By constructing docks in this fashion, it lessens the amount of treated wood leaching chemicals into the beautiful Puget Sound waters. The comparison between our product and the competitor can be seen here. Again, in short, we throughly understand our products and how to properly install them to get the outright best results possible for the customer and the environment.

Often times, our customer needs a rebuild, refloat, or replacement of an existing dock. We are equipped and enthusiastic to do as much, or as little, as is needed to keep your investment in the condition you can be proud of. Contact us at 360-769-8428.
